18/05/2009 - New Certificate IV in Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence) course
We are pleased to announce the addition of a new course to our curriculum - the AVI40108 Certificate IV in Aviation (Commercial Pilot License.) All commercial pilot license enrolments after May 2009 will be to this new course.
This course is targeted at students who wish to study full time for a Commercial Pilot License, and get an academic qualification at the same time a Certificate IV in Aviation.
The course has been designed based on Basair's 17 years of experience in teaching Commercial Pilot License courses. This new course is designed to maximize the learning of students by careful integration of the theory and practical aspects of flying. For more information on this course, click here
15/05/09 - New aircraft added to the Basair fleet - Cessna 172 and 182!
We are pleased to announce the arrival of 3 new aircraft to the Basair fleet:
- Cessna 172 VH-ADI
- Cessna 172 VH-AGX
- Cessna 182 VH-BOM
These aircraft are now available for hire and training. ADI has the full Garmin G1000 glass cockpit.

06/05/2009 - Basair office now open in Mumbai
Located in Logitech Park, Andheri (E) (near Saki Naka Junction) the office provides a central location for the provision of information about the College and courses, and for liaison between parents and the College. Located near the airport as well as Andheri railway station, the office is on major transport hubs making it simple to access. Meeting rooms as well as office facilities are available enabling us to provide information in a pleasant and professional environment.
The office is open 1000 to 1800 Monday to Friday, and visitors are welcome (appointments recommended).
Our representative in the office is Sunny Navlani, who has studied with Basair and holds a CPL with Command Instrument Rating.

We are pleased to launch our new web site bringing the look and feel of our site right into the 21st century. We have tried to keep as much of our previous information available, along with functionality (weathercam, audio link to the control tower) but at the same time we'd welcome your comments and suggestions.
15/11/08 - Basair moves to a new building
After 17 years at 685 Comper Street, we have now moved to spacious new premises at 131 Vega Crescent - just over the road. We now have a huge hangar, much larger facilities, and a lot of new resources for our clients. Come and enjoy our new student lounge with Foxtel, or the full flight planning area or spacious new aircraft sign-out area.
