March 2010 - Bankstown

This page is dedicated to giving updates on the progress of students in Course 161, which started in Bankstown in mid March 2010.  This page will track key achievements such as first solos, flight tests, theory and fly-aways.  Also, key dates for the class are included at the bottom of the page.

Update - December 2010

Congratulations to Ben, Gareth, Julien and Mark for graduating with a Certificate IV in Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence).  All have now completed their CPL Flight Tests and finished the course.

This month, Jayakumar and Ryan both went on a fly-away to the Gold Coast as a way to increase their solo flight time.

Congratulations to Mohammed for completing all his CPL exams, and being ready for his CPL Pre-Licence.

Update - August 2010

Congratulations to Hiren for passing his GFPT Flight Test, and for flying the most number of hours this month with 23 hours.

Also congratulations to Mark, Gareth and Jack for passing their PPL Flight Tests.  They will now commence their commercial training sequences in the Tobagos.

Update - July 2010

Congratulations to Mark and Julien for completing their first navigation solo flight this month.

Also congratulations to Andrew for passing his GFPT Flight Test this month. 

Update - June 2010

Congratulations to Mark and Julien for passing their GFPT Flight Test this month.  Also congratulations to Jayakumar for completing his first navigation solo flight this month.

Mohammad flew the most this month, with 25 hours of which 5 was solo.

Update - May 2010

Congratlations to Gareth for passing his GFPT Flight Test and completing his first navigation solo flight this month.  Gareth also flew the most this month, with 25 hours of which 5 was solo.

Update - April 2010

Congratulations to all those students that have gone First Solo; Ben (16.1 hours), Sameer (25.6 hours), Mark (16.0 hours), Julien (19.5 hours), Jayakumar (22.8 hours), and Andrew (21.8 hours).

We had a 100% pass rate for the BAK exam rate this month.  Congratulations to everybody.

Update - March 2010

Welcome to all the new students who started on the 8th March 2010.  Your course co-ordinator is Peter Fterniatis, and he should be your first reference point for any queiries.

Gareth is the first in the class to go First Solo in March, achieving this after 14.1 hours of flying.

Ten students passed the Pre-Solo exam, with Gareth, Ryan and Zane all scoring 100%.

Mohammed flew the most this month, with 17 hours in the first 3 weeks of the course.
