Instructor Job Application

Application for the position of Flying Instructor

Introduction
Basair Aviation College and Hunter Valley Aviation are part of the Basair Group, which is the largest flying school in Australia.
Both schools conduct flight training from ab-initio to PPL, CPL, multi-engine endorsements, night flying rating, instrument rating and instructor rating.

Application Process

There are 5 steps to the application process.

  1. Interested candidates should submit an application online using the form at the bottom of this webpage.
  2. Successful candidates will be notified via email of the date of the interview day.
  3. Candidates will be interviewed at least twice on the interview day.
  4. Interviewees are short listed after the interviews, with successful candidates progressing to an assessment interview with the Chief Pilot.
  5. Successful candidates will be offered a position as a Flight Instructor.

Employment at Basair

Basair Avaition College and Hunter Valley Aviation recruit only permanent employees. There are no roles available for casual instructors.

The Flight Instructor role encompasses more than just flying. Flight Instructors are scheduled to deliver pre- and post-flight briefings and scheduled theory classes.
